Postsecondary Workforce Readiness Partner
Recently, Rangeview High School's College and Career Center and counseling office teamed up with the APS Postsecondary Workforce Readiness team to offer students an opportunity to expand their understanding of available careers in healthcare. A panel of nine professionals from Pickens Technical College, Anschutz Medical Campus and the private sector volunteered their time to speak to more than 40 students. Panelists included a bio-engineer, dentist , vet tech, respiratory therapist, acupuncturist, nurse, hospital administrator, and personal trainer. Small groups of students interacted with each of the panelists in a speed dating-like session. The event took place during students’ lunch hour, creating an informal and highly interactive atmosphere.
